Labourer - Rainbow Concrete Description: We are looking for
hard working individuals who are interested in becoming part of a team
atmosphere. The position is in a precast concrete plant which is designed to
manufacture large amounts of precast units in a timely and efficient manner. It
is a growing business but still with the small company atmosphere. The work is
relatively fast paced, can be physically demanding, and attention to quality is
very important. We take pride in recognizing talent and promoting from within.

Requirements: •
Education: Not required, other trades certificate or diploma is an asset. •
Previous labour experience in the concrete and/or construction industry
considered an asset •
Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work (e.g. hand and
power tools, etc.) •
Ability to handle the weight handling of mass up to 45kg (100lbs) •
Basic mathematical and problem solving skills •
Understanding of health and safety protocols on construction sites •
Ability to work independently and as a team member. •
Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history. Duties: •
Assembly, preparation, cleaning and dismantling of concrete forms •
Prepare, tie and place steel reinforcement materials. •
Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces. •
Reading production drawings (specifically concrete/precast erection drawings) •
Check products for quality control; Record manufacturing information such as
quantity, size and type of goods produced •
Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. •
Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces. •
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete. •
Cleaning up working area at the end of shift The above

Industrial environment - involves repetitive tasks •
Work Site Environment - Noisy; Dusty; Indoors/Outdoors in all types of weather •
Heavy lifting (80-100lbs); standing for extended periods; bending; crouching;
kneeling •
