POOL Schedules

Lane Swimming:

All lanes are open during Lap Swim times. A variable number of lanes may be open (at the lifeguard on duty’s discretion) during recreational swim, birthday parties, and pool rentals depending upon program and bather load.

Recreational Swim:

Open to both members and non-members. Any non-members are required to pay the Recreational Swim pass rate of $4 per person.

Water Slide:

The water slide is available during recreational swim times for patrons who are 240 cm’s or 48” in height.

Learn to Swim

Since the YMCA first introduced a national learn to swim program in 1910, we have been leaders in the aquatic instructional field.  YMCA Aquatic programs are unique in that they focus on promoting health and enhancing appreciation of our five core values: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and excellence.  As participants advance through our program, they have opportunities to learn group skills, experience positive peer interactions and above all have fun!

YMCA L'il Dippers

An eight level, water activity program for preschool-aged children, infant to 5 years of age divided into 3 age groupings.

Infant to 18 months – child participates with an adult (Splashers)18 months to 3 years of age – child participates with an adult (Bubblers)3 to 5 years of age – with or without an adult (Bobbers, Floaters, Gliders, Divers, Surfers, Dippers)



YMCA Learn to Swim

The YMCA Learn to swim program is a four-level instructional program for children and youth 6 years and up.  It introduces a series of easy to learn skills t the non-swimmer in a values-based environment.  Successful completion of the four level progressions indicates that the learner is capable of performing a variety of skills in shallow and deep water, including the fundamentals of the front crawl stroke.  The levels are: Otter, Seal, Dolphin, and Swimmer.

YMCA Star Program

The YMCA Star Program introduces the swimmer to a wide variety of swimming and water activity skills in a values based environment.  Skills include: lifesaving, synchronized swimming, completive swimming and aquatic leadership.  The program consists of 6 levels: Star 1 to Star 6.  The YMCA Star Program improves swimming ability, furthers water sport and safety skills, and develops endurance and new strokes.



YMCA Master Swimmer

Participants complete the Star Patrol and Bronze Star awards, review and improve stroke techniques, improve endurance and prepare for an aquatic leadership or lifeguard role.


The YMCA has been a leader in the field of lifesaving for many years.  We offer courses to obtain advanced lifesaving awards and qualifications: Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and National Lifeguard Service.
