Why Talk About Gambling?

  • Youth today are the first generation to grow up in a society where gambling is legalized, normalized, glamourized, easily accessible and actively promoted.
  • Youth in Canada are reporting significantly higher rates of problem gambling than adults
  • Gambling patterns are established as early as 8 years of age and can be in place before an adolescent reaches high school.
