Taking a break from exercise is crucial for muscle recovery. Without it, your muscles will not repair properly, and in return will not grow as well as they could had you taken a day off. You should not work out more than six days a week, and never work the same muscle group two days in a row. Allow 24 hours in between workouts and listen to your body when you need a break. Rested muscles are happy muscles!
